YesBrainer is operated by A. Janssen, Djambistraat 20 H, 1094AZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

2. What we collect
We collect as little as possible. Here is what we may process:
- Purchase data — name, email address, and billing information provided during checkout (processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record)
- Support messages — name, email, and the content of any communication you send us
- Website access data — your IP address and basic request headers, collected automatically by our hosting provider for security purposes
YesBrainer the application collects zero data. It runs 100% offline on your hardware. No telemetry, no analytics, no phone-home behaviour.
3. Why we collect it
- Contract performance — to deliver your license and product download
- Customer support — to respond to your questions or issues
- Security & fraud prevention — to protect our systems and detect abuse
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable tax and accounting requirements
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process personal data based on: performance of the contract (delivering your purchase), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention), consent (when you contact us), and legal obligations (accounting, tax).
5. Who we share data with
- Paddle (paddle.com) — our Merchant of Record, handling payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and subscription management
- Hosting provider — for serving this website
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, when required
- Authorities — only where required by law
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising trackers.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside the EEA by our service providers (e.g. Paddle, hosting). Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions by the European Commission.
7. Data retention
We retain purchase records for as long as required by tax and accounting obligations (typically 7 years under Dutch law). Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction. Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict processing

- Object to processing based on legitimate interests

9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
10. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. No third-party trackers, no advertising pixels, no analytics scripts. Essential cookies may be set by our payment provider during checkout.
