Your campaign will be attacked from every direction. Know which direction first.
You're pushing for a city-wide fossil fuel divestment. You've got the environmental case locked down. But the Economic lens shows pension fund exposure. The Political lens shows which council members have donors in the energy sector. The Social lens shows which workers lose their jobs and whether your transition plan covers them. The Cultural lens shows whether "divestment" sounds like sacrifice or leadership in your city's identity.
And the Ethical lens asks the hardest question: is it just to impose transition costs on the people least responsible for the crisis?
Your campaign doesn't fail because the science is wrong. It fails because you didn't anticipate the social and economic counterarguments. Anticipate them.
