Dear You, Six Months Ago
I know you're excited about the idea. I was too. But I'm writing from six months ahead to tell you three things:
First, the economic model works — but only if you account for the regulatory change coming in Q3 that you haven't heard about yet. The Political lens would have caught it.
Second, the community you're trying to serve doesn't want what you think they want. The Social lens would have shown you the real pain point. It's adjacent to yours. You're close. But close isn't right.
Third — and this is the one that cost us time — the ethical objection that seemed minor in your pitch deck is the one that killed the partnership in month four. The Ethical lens flagged it. You dismissed it as edge-case thinking.
I'm not angry. I just wish we'd had a tool that could show us all seven angles at once before we committed. We do now.
Use it.
Questions people ask
- How does Yesbrainer help avoid costly mistakes?
- By running your idea through seven structured lenses before you commit resources. Regulatory risks, social misalignments, and ethical tensions surface in minutes rather than months.
- Is Yesbrainer a forecasting tool?
- Not exactly. It doesn't predict the future, but the Weaver module projects your idea across multiple time horizons (6 months, 2 years, 5 years) so you can see second-order consequences before they arrive.
